Sorting the Wheat from the Chaff in Kent Cropmarks

Our Trustee Talks continued online with a contribution from KAS Trustee Chris Blair-Myers. Chris's extensive experience over many years studying and interpreting aerial photography has been an invaluable resource to both local authority and volunteer groups over the years.

In an on-line presentation broadcast as a live event, Chris takes us through his method and gives us some tips on how to spot potential archaeological features in the landscape from the comfort of our own homes. There is also a brief conversation with our Communications Manager Fred Birkbeck, himself a geophysical survey specialist, about the method and how it ties in with other types of archaeological prospection.
