#FindsFriday: Roman paw print
It's #FindsFriday! Our curator has been busy cataloguing more of the Lympne excavation archive from last year, and today's find shows the importance of a secondary sort off site.
#FindsFriday: Bartman Jug
One of the objects the society has brought along to this year's Kent County Show is this lovely Bartman Jug reportedly found during Peter Tester's excavations at Leeds Priory in the 1970s.
Kent County Show and tell!
It's time to countdown to this years Kent County Show! Only one more day to the gates open! The KAS will be returning for the first time since 2008. We cannot wait to showcase some of the wonderful items in our collection with the thousands of visitors who will grace the Kent County Show across the 5th, 6th and 7th July!
#FindsFriday Lees Court pot washing
It's #findsfriday and on such a bright and sunny day the conditions are perfect for #potwashing! This large lump of mud was hiding a beautifully decorated piece of #Mortlake #neolithic pottery dating from c. 3350 - 2900/2700 BC.
